The state of the yard · July 2026
BULQ is gone. Here's where to go — honestly.
BULQ's last inventory day was July 28, 2026. If you bought there, you just lost a source with real manifests and predictable case lots — and the vacuum is already filling with people who'd love to sell you a "premier wholesale pallet." Before you wire anyone money, read this.
Direct replacements worth your time
No affiliate links, no kickbacks — this is the list we use ourselves when the house buys seed inventory:
- B-Stock Supply — the biggest pool of retailer-direct, untouched lots. Auction format, binding freight quotes before you bid, resale certificate required. Discipline matters: cap bids at 10–15% of manifest MSRP on customer returns.
- 888 Lots — fixed prices and the best per-item manifests in the business (ASIN-level). Registration is strict (resale cert + EIN + photo ID), which is a feature: it keeps the tourists out.
- Regional liquidators with real warehouses— often the best economics if you can inspect in person before paying. The catch: quality varies wildly and the manifests are usually photos at best. Which is the problem we're working on.
The three rules that survive BULQ
- No manifest, no money. The community said it before we did: lots aren't good or bad, they're more or less transparent.
- The payment rail is the tell.Real operations take cards and use escrow. "Our card system is down, just Zelle it" is the scam signature — walk away every time.
- Price the time, not just the margin. A pallet that grosses 50% but takes eight months to sell through is worse than it looks. Check sell-through speed for the category on our recovery benchmarks.
What we're building here
MarketYard is a marketplace where every lot lists with a typed, AI-verified manifest — counts, condition grades, stated uncertainties — and funds sit in escrow until you confirm delivery against the paperwork. Sellers carry accuracy scores that follow them. It's young and inventory is thin, which we'd rather tell you than have you discover. Three free things while the yard fills:
- The free appraiser— photograph any pallet (including one you're about to bid on elsewhere) and get a manifest + realistic recovery estimate before money moves.
- A standing spec — tell us once what you buy (categories, grade floor, budget) and matching lots come to you as they list.
- The practice lot — learn our negotiation format against the house, no account, no money.
