30–80% higher recovery
Competitive, transparent formats consistently recover far more than single-buyer deals. One buyer with no rival bids the minimum you'll accept.

Photograph one aging lot with your phone. Our AI turns it into a typed manifest in about a minute — list it on the yard and competing buyers make real offers, usually within a week. You set a floor, so you never sell below your number. Zero commission for founding sellers. Buying instead? Bring an AI — Claude can browse, haggle, and buy for you, under caps you set.
Start with the free appraisal — photograph a lot, get a manifest and what it should recover, no signup. No contract, no exclusivity, no fee. If the offers don't beat your broker, keep your broker. The premise in one line, borrowed from the people who buy this stuff for a living: lots aren't good or bad — they're more or less transparent. We're the transparent kind.

Three sides of the yard
Aging lots, customer returns, the awkward pallets in row K. Photograph one — the AI manifests it, it lists on the yard in front of competing buyers, and the offers come to you. You set the floor; zero commission for founding sellers.

How it works
Run it through the free appraiser — you get the manifest and a recovery estimate in about a minute, whether or not you sell through us. An email with photos works too.
The AI builds the manifest — counts, condition grades, weight & freight class where the photos support it — and your lot goes on the yard in front of every matching buyer, not one broker with one number.
Set a floor price up front and we never go below it. Accept the best offer, or walk away and you owe nothing. Your floor is never shown to buyers.
Buyer funds are held by MarketYard before the truck rolls and released to you on delivery confirmation. No chasing invoices.
Being straight with you: the yard is young, so buyer demand is still building — but the whole flow is self-serve and live today, and founding sellers pay zero commission while we grow it. You keep full control: set your floor, accept the offer you like, or walk.
Why competing offers beat one phone call
This isn't our opinion — it's what the liquidation data says. Three findings from published auction reports, all of which cost you money today:
Competitive, transparent formats consistently recover far more than single-buyer deals. One buyer with no rival bids the minimum you'll accept.
Unmanifested pallets clear at 10–20¢ on the retail dollar. Buyers price the unknown into every bid. A proper manifest is the cheapest money you'll ever make.
Lots over $10,000 retail see recovery medians collapse. Splitting a truckload into pallets routinely nets more in total — most sellers never test this.
How this is different
MarketYard is a platform, not a broker. The AI writes your manifest; the yard puts it in front of buyers; you accept, counter, or pass yourself — no one in the middle marking up your lot or sitting on your offers. Every number is yours to see.
It's small and new, and we'd rather earn a handful of sellers properly than sign up a hundred who never hear back. A real person still reads every email — hello@marketyard.com.
Straight answers
Fair question, and the honest answer matters: we're new, so the buyer pool is still growing — liquidators, pallet resellers, exporters, refurbishers who register what they buy. Your lot lists on the yard and goes to every buyer whose spec it matches. If it doesn't draw an offer worth taking, you've lost nothing — no fee, no exclusivity, and the free appraisal was useful either way.
Nothing. Founding sellers pay 0% commission — no listing fee, no success fee, no minimum. We're buying proof that this works, not revenue. Later, standard pricing will be a take rate well under typical broker spread, and you'll know it before it applies to you.
Keep them. Give us the lots they're slow on — the aged stuff, the awkward categories, the pallets sitting in row K since spring. If we clear them faster or higher, you've found a second channel. If we don't, you've confirmed your broker is good, which is worth knowing too.
Buyer funds are held by MarketYard before anything leaves your dock, and released to you on delivery confirmation. You're not shipping into the void and chasing an invoice for 60 days.
That's why every lot is photographed and graded up front — the manifest is the record, and it protects you as much as the buyer. Disputes get resolved against the evidence, not against whoever argues hardest.
From where you sit it's just photos in, a manifest and offers out. AI drafts the manifest in a minute (you can correct it), and machine-readable listings let automated buyers find your lot too — which means more eyes on it. If you'd rather email photos and have us set it up, that works too — hello@marketyard.com.
